Parking Info - What you need to know to avoid a $50 ticket
Parking in Federal Hill on a Saturday night is difficult. You are required to have a permit to park along most streets. Officers do enforce this issue, so do not park there unless you are OK with getting a ticket.
There are some metered parking spots around Cross Street Market that are 25 cents an hour until 6 p.m. After 6 p.m., if you can find one, they are free. Look for signs that say "Pay to Park here." Pay those machines and they will give you a receipt that you should place on the driver's side under the windshield.
There is also the West Street Parking Garage, located one block south of the market between Charles and Light streets. Here is a map of the area.
